2008 Garden Demonstrations

       In addition to experiencing fabulous
gardens this year, tour goers will also
be delighted with delectable
food tasting demonstrations.

On Saturday, May 3rd, Tommy Stallings, Madison Fireplace and Patio, will be demonstrating “The Big Green Egg” at the Saulters home, 25 Eastbrooke Circle.  The Big Green Egg is a ceramic cooker, derived from an ancient clay cooker called a “kamado”.  The modern ceramic Big Green Egg has rewarded its owners with amazing results since 1974, and has earned its reputation as the World’s Best Smoker, Grill, and Cooker.  You can watch Tommy in action and sample his works from 11:00-12:30 and 2:00-3:30 on Saturday.

On Sunday, May 4th, the Viking School will  be cooking at the Runnels’ home, 116 Sundial Road.

Enjoy Samples from our Cookbook!

   As you tour
the Runnels home at 116 Sundial Road during the tour on Saturday
or
the Saulters’ home, 25 Eastbrooke Circle during the tour on Sunday,
be sure to enjoy samples from MRA’s cookbook Through the Garden Gate.  The cookbook is a collection of wonderful recipes from MRA patrons and special friends that we hope will open the gates to many memorable meals for you and yours.
